Born in 1994, I graduated from the Department of Sociology at Boğaziçi University in 2017. During the university years, I completed internships at the Italian Coalition for Civil Rights (CILD) in Rome and at the Migration Research Foundation in Ankara.
I research and write about Türkiye–ASEAN relations, Southeast Asian political economy and industrial diplomacy. My main question is practical: how can diplomatic ties be converted into investable projects, supply-chain partnerships, workable standards and measurable local capability?
My work focuses on ASEAN institutions, industrial cooperation, project development, logistics, finance, trade architecture and Türkiye’s country-specific engagement with Asian economies. I write policy-oriented analysis for regional and international publications and develop research products designed to move discussions from broad potential to implementation.
My commentary has appeared in Fulcrum at ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute, East Asia Forum, The Business Times, Bernama, The Astana Times, Phnom Penh Post, India Narrative and other regional platforms. I have also discussed Türkiye–ASEAN relations on the Straight Talk Southeast Asia podcast.
I serve on the Editorial Board of Teori magazine and as the ASEAN Coordinator at Vatan Party in Türkiye. Also, I’m the founding director of the Bosphorus Center for Asian Studies (BCAS).
The views expressed in my independent research and commentary are my own.
